A Few Thanksgiving Tips

Thanksgiving can be a tough time for some. Lots of good food options, football on the TV, shopping to do and family/friends to see. It’s a good idea to not go off the deep end over this holiday week and weekend. We’re going to leave you with a few tips to help you succeed over the Thanksgiving holiday.

1. Get in a bit of exercise each day. Even if it’s 20 minutes a day, do something to keep active.

2. If you’re going to eat hearty on Thanksgiving, be careful what you eat during the rest of the week. This will really help you out for the total holiday week caloric intake.

3. Try not to spend too much time on the couch, if you have young family members, play with the kids. It’s a good way to burn calories.

4. Stay away from the alcohol. It’s empty calories. I know your family might drive you crazy, but if you need to blow off steam, try to go for a walk.

5. Sleep. Make sure you are getting sleep each night and at least 8 hours of it. Being well rested can help you fight the Thanksgiving battles. It might also help you crave less food and have more energy to enjoy the day.
