I am often asked what is the best workout to lose weight? Is it Cardio? Yoga? Pilates? What about Lifting Weights?
The answer is…. that none of these.. In order to improve in a variety of areas, your workouts must consist of a variety of different exercises, stretching, tempo, and intensity. As an example, a typical training session with Chicago Family Fit will consist of the following:
- Active Stretching
- Strength Exercises
- Stability Exercises
- Endurance Exercises
- Balance and Flexibility Exercises
- Cool Down and Passive Stretching
I realize that this may seem a little bit overwhelming if you are designing your workout routine, or just starting to exercise. However, at Chicago Family Fit we believe that all areas of training are essential for not only looking better, but feeling better, moving better, staying healthy, and avoiding injuries.
